During my last semesters as an undergrad student in 2021, I had many visions of myself surrounded by peoples of different languages and colors. While completing my master's degree in English Education, I developed an immense love not only for the Spanish-speaking community of Puerto Rico but also, for the global Spanish-speaking community.
God is calling you because He called you.
In March 2021, I was invited to translate at a church in Añasco that was growing into a bilingual community. I went in to serve and found a family that embraced me and leaders who welcomed me as their own. That same week, I knew the Holy Spirit was divinely positioning me in a new place for a new time, and I smoothly transitioned to that community with the blessing of my first church family. From there, I became actively involved in ministry through evangelistic outreach, conferences, and events for children, youth, and adults.
That same year, the Lord began opening doors to the nations. Just three months after welcoming me in, New Family Church sent me on my first mission trip to Tijuana, Mexico. In 2022, I connected with a powerful missionary couple under the Assemblies of God organization, Jack and Delores Simon, and gleaned from them in Tunja, Colombia. In 2023, I led my first mission trip to Peru and started traveling to that nation every summer for ministry.
When I first started attending New Family Church, Pastors Jay Sánchez and Mary Jiménez always emphasized the ministry and discipleship training program based in Woodland Park, CO. I had just initiated a master's degree in English Education to develop a pedagogy of hope for STEM students and professionals.
However, I started attending their annual ministers' conferences in 2022. In October 2023, I heard the Holy Spirit's invitation to sit among the students. I followed His prompting and once I was settled in my seat and started taking notes, I heard His small, still voice say: "This is your place".
Three weeks later, I enrolled to complete Year 1 online and in September 2024, I made the move to Woodland Park, CO to complete their Year 2 and Year 3 programs.
From September 2024 to June 2025, I served in the ministry's Communication Services department, where I had the privilege of connecting directly with callers from all over the world. My most memorable moment was speaking with a former sex worker from Asia who shared her incredible conversion story.
One night between clients, she happened to tune into an Andrew Wommack broadcast about God’s love. Deeply moved, she surrendered her life to Jesus and was baptized in the Holy Spirit right there in her room.
When her next client arrived, she immediately shared her new faith with him. Touched to tears, he accepted Christ on the spot. This powerful pattern continued with every person who entered her room—instead of a transactional sexual encounter, drug addicts, alcoholics, and broken individuals found a life-changing connection with Jesus. Within days, her desire for her former work completely vanished. She left prostitution behind, rebuilt her life on an honest path, and later even had the opportunity to thank Andrew in person with a gift of flowers.
Year 1 at Charis is focused on personal transformation, and understanding the foundational importance of God's unconditional love, and the grace He grants us to live out in faith.
Year 2 is all about practical ministry preparation, with hands-on experience with interactive groups and on the mission field. My mission trip to Brazil was definitely one of the highlights of my school year, and it certainly revealed that there were nations waiting for me to bring Charis to them.
Once I graduated from Year 2 in May 2025, the Lord led me to do full-time ministry for over 7 weeks in Puerto Rico and Peru. That summer, I led a mission team of Charis graduates to minister in diverse ways around the western part of the island. I also equipped many of my church's ministries in practical and intentional evangelistic initiatives.
In August, I accompanied my pastors and others to Peru, where we ministered to hundreds of pastors in different parts of the nation. At that point in Peru, I felt my heart get set ablaze because I finally understood why the Lord was opening so many doors and opportunities in Latin America.
I want to see Charis Bible College in every Spanish-speaking nation.
Holy Spirit
Year 3 allows students to grow in the area of their calling. The Global Training School specifically provides practical and spiritual preparation for students called to global evangelism and ministry leadership. It is meant for people who are called to expand the global reach of Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College. This was the school I attended.
Throughout the school year, I deepened my knowledge of defining and casting God-sized visions and organizing functional teams. I also had the opportunity to lead a group of Year 2 students to Ecuador, work in Charis's Missions Department, and lead my project group. Our project was based on expanding AWM and Charis all across Latin America by capitalizing on regional structure and leadership.
In order to bring Andrew Wommack Ministries and Charis Bible College to a new nation, the ideal candidate must be a Charis graduate, undergo the Director Training Track in the Year 3 Global Training School, and complete an unpaid internship in one of the ministry's international locations.
Since the closest internship location to Latin America is Toronto, Ontario, Canada, I'll be moving there in September to fulfill the last requirement to complete my calling to the Spanish-speaking nations.
I will be on a religious work VISA which doesn't allow me to work on Canadian ground. Therefore, I must raise funds to fully support housing, food, and other important expenses. For the 2026-2027 school year, approximately $30,000 is necessary for me to raise.
This step in Canada is the final key to launching long-term ministry across Latin America. I invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with me financially and spiritually as I take this step of obedience. Whether through a one-time gift or monthly partnership, your support directly fuels the vision to bring God's word and discipleship to the Spanish-speaking world.
